FRAMINGHAM – A third resident of the Morton and Etta Shillman House has tested positive for the coronavirus, confirmed 2Life Communities, which owns the apartments in the Nobscot section of Framingham.
2Life Communities confirmed a resident tested positive on March 28, and a second resident tested positive earlier this week. Both were hospitalized.
“Every single day at 2Life Communities, we are doing everything we can to keep our residents safe. We are saddened to share that we now have a third resident at Shillman House in Framingham who has tested positive for COVID-19. Our thoughts are with the residents and their families and we continue to do all we can to support them. We have shared this news with our staff, our residents and their families in the interest of full transparency and to remind everyone to remain vigilant,” said 2Life Communities President/CEO Amy Schectman.

Shillman House is apartment living for individuals age 62 or older.
The Framingham Health Department was notified of the positive test.
The Framingham Health Department has chosen not to make positive tests in public locations, public information. For example, the Framingham Health Department did not share a positive test at Nordstrom Rack or Dunkin’.
The positive test today at Shillman House makes four seniors from two complexes in Nobscot, that have tested positive for the virus.
A resident of Mary Ann Morse at Heritage also has tested positive for COVID-19.
“At 2Life Communities, we follow CDC and Mass Department of Public Health guidelines, taking all precautions to keep our residents safe including social distancing, elimination of communal dining and activities that brought people together, regular disinfecting, and restricting access at our communities to residents and essential staff only,” said Jan E. Goldstein, speaking on behalf of 2Life Communities, after the first case.
Visitors are not allowed at Shillman House at this time.
