FRAMINGHAM – A salesperson at a store at Shoppers World in Framingham has tested positive for the Coronavirus.

“On March 19, we learned one of our salespeople at our Nordstrom Rack Shopper’s World store in Framingham, Massachusetts, has tested positive for COVID-19,” announced the company tonight, March 19.

The employee hasn’t been in our store since Friday, March 13, said the company in a statement to SOURCE.

This employee is in quarantine at home and we’re in regular communication to ensure they have the support they need as they recover, said Nordstrom, Inc.in a statement.

While our stores have been temporarily closed since March 17, as soon as we learned about the diagnosis, we took immediate steps to help prevent the potential spread of the illness, said Nordstrom Inc.

“We are connecting with all employees who may have come in close contact (six feet or less) with this employee over a prolonged time. We’re ensuring they have the information they need and are implementing quarantine where appropriate,” said Nordstrom Inc. to SOURCE.

While all our stores are currently closed to customers, we are conducting additional cleaning and sanitizing of the store, said the company

“We take this situation seriously and apologize for any concern this may cause. We are in the process of reaching out to customers who may have interacted with this employee to make them aware of the situation so they can monitor their own health and take steps as necessary. We’ve also shared a statement with the media to alert customers who may have shopped in the store,’ said the company.
