FRAMINGHAM – The 22 Team Framingham 2021 runners have just topped the $30,000 mark in fundraising for 5 outstanding local charities as they prepare for the Monday October 11, 2021 Boston Marathon.

In the 8th year of the Team Framingham program our runners have raised $597,203 for a variety of Framingham based charities since 2014.

The 5 charities selected to benefit from Team Framingham 2021 fundraising are:

  • Call2Talk – United Way — $14,071
  • Boys and Girls Club of Metrowest – $11,464
  • Framingham History Center — $2,776
  • Friends of the Framingham Library — $1,513
  • Spaulding Rehabilitation Network — $210

As we enter the final 4 weeks before the Boston Marathon our runners are in the homestretch
of their fundraising and look to the community for continued support.

In addition to their fundraising the team runners have been training hard for the October 11th
Boston Marathon. The team has completed 8 of 11 planned training runs of distances between
6 and 18 miles.

This coming Saturday September 18th our team runners will be running 21 miles from the
Boston Marathon starting line in Hopkinton to Boston College. This will be the longest training
run the team will participate in.

Details on the Team Framingham 2022 program for the April 18, 2022 Boston Marathon will be
released later this fall.
