BRISTOL RHODE ISLAND – The Framingham State women’s soccer team lost its season opener against Roger Williams University by a score of 3-0 on a rainy Wednesday afternoon in Bristol, RI.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Roger Williams junior Bianca Robbins opened up the scoring in the 2021 season with an unassisted goal in the sixth minute of play.
- The Hawks added to their first half lead after Robbins sent another tally home with a helper from freshman Rachel Oster.
- The hosts closed rounded out the 3-0 win with a Leah Yucius goal in the 56th minute with help from Jordan Powers.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Sami Brady and Morgan McCutcheon split the shutout in net for Roger Williams.
- Freshman Jetta Oskirko made eight saves in her first college start in net for the Rams.
- The Hawks outshot the Rams by a 19-to-6 margin while both teams earned three corner kicks.
