FRAMINGHAM – Joan C. (Halley) Stucchi, 86, a longtime resident of Framingham passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021 in St. Patrick’s Manor after a period of declining health.  

Born in Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Thomas & Mercedes (O’Brien) Halley, and the beloved wife of 65 years to the late Peter C. Stucchi.

Joan loved to travel all over the world, especially to Italy, and time was best spent with family and friends.

Ever the matriarch, Joan is survived by her children, Richard Stucchi of Framingham, Donna Fontaine & her husband Richard of Framingham, David Stucchi & his wife Dale of Framingham, and Carol Patterson & her husband Michael of Bermuda, her grandchildren, Erica (Scott) Ferkler, Elise, Neiko, Denise (Kevin) Connolly, Danielle (James) Miller, Diana (Jacob) Lane, Amanda Aicardi, Christopher Aicardi, and Lauren Patterson, and many brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews. Besides her dear husband Peter, Joan was predeceased by her sister, Mercedes Evans, and her brother, Ronald Halley.

Joan’s family would like to thank the staff at St. Patrick’s Manor for their care and compassion.

Family and friends will honor and remember Joan’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln Street in Framingham on Friday, August 20 from 4 – 8 p.m.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverly St. on Saturday morning at 10 o’clock.

Interment will follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery.
