ASHLAND – Work on the Route 126/ Pond Street Revitalization Project continues this week in Ashland.

The work is impacting traffic significantly in the mornings and afternoons during rush hour. Please plan accordingly, give yourself extra time to get where you are going, and please be patient. Crews are doing the best they can to get you through quickly and safely.

The Contractor, Northern Construction, is currently working on the drainage infrastructure for the future roundabout to be located between Spyglass Hill and the Shaw’s Plaza driveway.

There is one lane of traffic open during construction hours.

Northern Construction will be in this particular stretch of roadway for the next few weeks. They will put down a temporary pavement as soon as they are able.

Mirra Construction (Eversource Gas Contractor) has two crews currently working on Route 126.

One crew is working on gas services on the Framingham end. The other crew is working on the intersection of Eliot/Pond.

NIGHT WORK – next week, starting on Monday night, Mirra Construction (Eversource Gas) will have a crew working on Eliot Street next to Pond Street. It is on the West side of Pond Street. The hours of operation will be from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The work is scheduled to occur on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night. In addition, they will have a second crew working on gas services during the day on Pond Street.
