FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham announced 8 new COVID-19 cases since Wednesday, May 12.
Since the pandemic, there have been 244 deaths.
Framingham has had a total of 8,219 coronavirus cases since the pandemic began. Framingham has about 74,500 residents.
That means about 11% of the City has been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the pandemic began in March 2020.

The good news is 6,478 individuals have recovered.
As of April 19, the general public, age 16 and older became eligible for the vaccine.
The FDA & the CDC approved Pfizer’s vaccine for individuals age 12 and older this week.
Active cases in the City of Framingham increased to 1,497.
Individuals in quarantine increased to 511.
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is hosting a free COVID-19 testing site, run by Project Beacon. The site is located at 123 Maple Street in a parking lot owned by Framingham State University. The drive-thru site is by appointment only and is expected to remain open through early August.
