FRAMINGHAM – Riding the bus during COVID requires that students have a consistent seat in the morning and the afternoon, announced the Framingham Public Schools.

Elementary school students, for families that opted in, have been in-person 5-day-a-week since April 5.

Middle school students will join them on April 28.

In some cases the seat assignment comes from the Principal in other cases it is managed by the bus driver, said the district.

If you have a bus rider, please encourage your child to sit in the same seat in the morning and afternoon, as well as to remain in their seat for the entire bus ride, said the school district.

Staying in their seat helps to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19 among the students and assists with contact tracing in the case of a COVID positive student, said the district.
