Stapleton Classroom Going Remote Due To COVID Positive Case

FRAMINGHAM – A Stapleton elementary school classroom will go remote on Monday, March 20, after a “school community” member tested positive for COVID-19, announced the school tonight. March 28.

“As per district guidelines, comprehensive contact tracing will be completed on Monday” and the classroom impacted will be remote on Monday, said the district to families tonight.

“Close contacts will received a call from the school,” said the district. “A close contact is defined as being within 6 feet of the person for at least 15 cumulative minutes within 24 hours.”

The Framingham Public School district’s dashboard is not showing a COVID case for Stapleton Elementary School. The last positive case recorded was on March 24 at King Elementary School.

As of yesterday, March 27, the district is reporting 91 total cases during the 2020-21 school year.

Framingham High leads the school district with 25 total cases in the academic 2020-21 school year.

Since January 1, there have been more than 50 cases in the district, with 43 cases in March, as of March 20.

The district has been testing staff weekly, and students, via pooled testing.

Earlier this month, the administration provided the total district participation rate by students. It is 46%. Pooled testing is not for remote students. On March 19, the district reported that number has increased to 48%.
