3. One of the 5 candidates for the District 2 School Committee seat to replace the late Karen Foran Dempsey has withdrawn his name, according to City Clerk Lisa Ferguson. David DiGuardia has withdrawn his name, leaving just four candidates.

5. Registration for the City’s second COVID-19 vaccine clinic opens at noon today.

A new hotline to help seniors with registration for the COVID-19 vaccine re-launched Monday in Framingham. The City of Framingham held its first public COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Saturday.

The Commonwealth’s free COVID testing site at Framingham State University’s parking lot, which is by appointment only, expanded to 3 lanes on Friday thanks to Senate President Karen Spilka. It is CLOSED today to allow for the third lane to be constructed.

The City of Framingham has yet to open a free walk-up COVID testing site in 2021, although SOURCE has learned they are considering one of the City’s polling places as a potential site.
