FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham announced 51 new COVID-19 cases since Monday, January 25
Since the pandemic, there have been 203 deaths, as the City announced two new deaths today on January 27.
Framingham has had a total of 6,138 coronavirus cases since the pandemic began. Framingham has about 75,000 residents.
That means just about 8 percent of the City has been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
The City’s percent positivity for the virus over the last 2 weeks is 6.33%
The good news is 4,716 individuals have recovered.
Active cases in the City of Framingham decreased from 1,226 to 1,219.
Individuals in quarantine increased from 574 to 591.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts operates a free COVID testing site opened at Framingham State University’s parking lot on Franklin Street. It is drive-thru and by appointment only, through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Project Beacon.
The Framingham residents-only free COVID testing site opened at SMOC HQ at 7 Bishop Street ended in 2020.
No new walk-up testing site has been announced for 2021.

As of today, individuals age 75 or older can make an for a COVID-vaccine. The state will begin administration on Monday, February 1.
