FRAMINGHAM – Mary Charlotte (Anthony) McNichol of Framingham, died in her home surrounded by family on Saturday, December 19, 2020. She was 82 years old.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, Thomas John McNichol. She is survived by her children Mary McNichol Romano and her husband Dan of Framingham, Ted McNichol and his partner Rob Levinson of Framingham, Thomas McNichol and his partner Mark Hittie of Boston and her adored granddaughters Carolyn Romano Wilder and her husband Matthew, Kathleen Romano Martin and her husband Ross and Kelly Romano. She is predeceased by her siblings Philip Anthony and Margaret Anthony and survived by her brother Robert Anthony and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was born during the hurricane of 1938 on September 21 in Peabody, to Philip and Mary (Sullivan) Anthony. She graduated from Salem State University in 1960 with a degree in Education.
She had a successful career at Key Bank Corp and later retired from The TJX Companies Inc.
She enjoyed her summers on Lake Cochituate and the Charles River, volunteering on the Charles River Clean Up Boat. Her passion though was always for education, volunteering to read to children while she and Tom wintered in Sun City Center, FL. But more than anything, Mary enjoyed spending time with her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours will be on Tuesday, December 22 from 5-7 p.m. at Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. Framingham.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 23 at 10 am at St. George Catholic Church, 74 School St. Framingham.
COVID-19 protocols will be followed at both services. The Funeral Mass will be private with limited attendance, but if you would like to attend please contact a family member.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Metrowest YMCA, Framingham, MA.
