FRAMINGHAM – Miguel Mercado, 94, of Framingham, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday December 13, 2020.

Son of the late Isaia Mercado. Beloved Husband and father, he raised 3 children Michael, Lilly, Lee (wife Emelie) in Framingham (Interfaith Terrace) with the late Andrea Mercado. He also raised 2 children Jose Mercado (wife Lucy) and Rosa Rodriguez (husband Carmelo) in New York with the late Hilda Figueroa. Miguel is survived by 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom he was very proud.  He was the brother of the late Ana Mercado and Pedro Zeno.

Miguel retired from Dennison Manufacturing in Framingham where he worked for many years.

His immense love and devotion to God, singing and helping others will always be recognized. His warm smile and infectious sense of humor will never be forgotten.  Known as“Granpa, Pops, Papa or Abuelo” and famous for his “Limbels”. Highly respected he will be remembered by his common phrase that as he walked away he would turn and say “I love you in English”  

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday from 4-8 p.m. in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street in Natick.

Interment will be Tuesday at noon at Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham.
