FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Public Schools announced today, November 19, a “Fuller community member who tested positive for COVID-19.”
“As per district guidelines, comprehensive contact tracing was initiated and it was determined that there were no close contacts,” said Framingham Assistant Superintendent of School Inna London to Fuller families and staff.
“FPS schools are cleaned daily in accordance with our COVID-19 protocol and CDC guidelines. In instances where a school community is engaged in in-person learning and an individual tests positive for COVID-19, deep cleaning is implemented. We will continue to be vigilant in adhering to all of the protocols that have been put in place to reduce the spread of COVID-19,” said London to staff and Fuller families.
Yesterday, the Framingham Public School district announced a COVID dashboard.

The dashboard does not include this new case, today, November 19. The dashboard reported yesterday, the public school district has 5 coronavirus cases this school year.
Superintendent Bob Tremblay said “while we did include a school-by-school analysis for in-person staff and students, we will not be disaggregating the staff vs. student data though our contact tracing nurse maintains all of those details. The reporting focus is on individuals and the potential for contact with others, irrespective of staff or student designation. This is a consistent practice among school districts and is a privacy safeguard for everyone involved.”
On November 16, the district announced a positive case tied to King Elementary.
On Sunday, the public school district announced a positive case at Stapleton Elementary.
According to the dashboard, 5 individuals have had to quarantine due to the Stapleton/King.
Last Sunday, it was made known that a BLOCKS member tested positive for the coronavirus. Five individuals needed to quarantine based on that case, but no other became positive.

Last month, a Framingham High staffer tested positive for COVID-19. According to the dashboard, that case prompted 10 individuals to quarantine.
The dashboard also mentions a case at Potter Road on November 12.
There was a case with the maintenance staff housed at Fuller last month.
Framingham Public School returned a couple hundred students in October with the highest needs to their physical classrooms.

Most of the district’s 9,000+ students are attended school virtually.
On November 5, roughly another 300 students returned to the classroom, including more students at BLOCKS preschool.
The Superintendent of Schools announced last week, that about 2,000 high needs students would return to the classrooms in December – this is phase III.
Phase IV is a hybrid model for the rest of the school district’s students in January.
But that January announcement was made before it was announced that Framingham became a red community again, as of today, November 19.
