1 Mayor Yvonne Spicer named Blake Lukis to become the City’s new Director of Public Works. With Council approval, he will replace Peter Sellers who retired earlier this year. Lukis was appointed by the Mayor to serve as interim director during the search for a new director.

2. Yesterday was the deadline to apply for the Framingham Youth Council, but several City Councilors told the news outlet applications will be accepted today as well. For more information on the Youth Council and its first year, and how to apply, click here.

3. Sign up for the Framingham Public Library’s summer reading program & BINGO. There is a children‘s and adult version.

4. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Spicer has no public events until July 31.
