FRAMINGHAM – The following is a list of road construction projects in the City of Framingham for the last week in June 2020.

The projects include utility work, City of Framingham projects and MassDOT projects.

All projects will be conducted in conformance with the health and safety protocols set forth by the Commonwealth and the City of Framingham.

As the situation with COVID-19 is ever-changing, construction schedules are subject to change.

All work is also weather permitting.

Projects include:


Beaver Street Bridge
: Bridge work continues. Beaver Street Bridge will be closed to through traffic and pedestrians until Fall 2020. A detour will be in effect at all times.

Belvidere Avenue Gas Main Relay – Eversource Gas: Eversource Gas will continue relaying gas main Belvidere Avenue. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Expect delays at times.

Eames Street and Pratt Street Gas Main Relay – Eversource Gas:
Eversource Gas will continue relaying gas main on Eames Street and Pratt Street.A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Expect delays at times.

Fenwick Street Manhole Installation: Work is scheduled for Tuesday, June 30 and Wednesday, July 1.
The Sewer Division will be installing a sewer manhole on Fenwick Street. Fenwick Street between Londonderry Road and Brook Street will be closed to through traffic. A detour will be in effect. Please seek an alternate route. 

Flagg Drive Water Main Replacement
: A City hired contractor will begin connecting residents to a temporary water bypass in anticipation of water main installation. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Expect delays at times.

Hillcrest and Berkshire Water Main Replacement: The Water Division will continue installing water main on Hillcrest Road. Hillcrest Road and Berkshire Road will be open to residents and emergency vehicles only.

Nobscot Intersection Improvements: Verizon will set new utility poles in preparation for the intersection improvements project. Expect minor delays at times.

Union Avenue Roadway Improvements Design: A City hired contractor will conduct soil investigations along Union Avenue. Expect minor delays. Police details will be on-site to facilitate traffic.

Worcester Road Water and Sewer Improvements: Trench paving and Miscellaneous punch list items. One lane will be closed on Worcester Road/Rt.9 East. Expect delays. Construction is scheduled Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m
