Habitat For Humanity To Re-Open ReStore on June 24

.ASHLAND – Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester announced today, June 22 it will re-open the Ashland ReStore on June 24.

The store, which opened in June 2018, at 310 Pond Street (Route 126) has been closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Health and safety procedures have been implemented for the safety of shoppers per the guidance of Governor Baker’s administration, said store owners.

These procedures include the disinfecting of high traffic areas, frequently touched surfaces, and donations to the store. In addition, we will encourage social distancing and wearing face masks, and install register shields, said management.

Every purchase made at our ReStores supports the mission of Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester to build homes, communities and hope for local families and veterans.

With the support of shoppers, more local families will be able to live in safe and decent homes, build strength and stability for their families, and contribute to the community in which they live. Through shelter, we empower.

ReStore shoppers will find bargains and treasures, and they will be helping local families who need an affordable home. Items for sale, both gently used and new, include furniture, home goods, appliances, and building materials.

Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester serves 42 cities and towns throughout MetroWest and Greater Worcester. Under the motto of “a hand up, not a handout,” we build houses with families rather than for them. Partner families must contribute 400 to 500 hours of “sweat equity”
building their homes and learning skills to become successful homeowners.

Store hours are:

• Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.to 5 p.m.
• Donations will be accepted beginning July 1.
