Annette (Nan) Convery, aged 92, of Framingham, died on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 peacefully and surrounded by family, including her husband of 7 years, Michael N. McInerney. She was born and raised in Fitchburg, MA, daughter of the late Corinne (Beauregard) Goguen and Edward O. Goguen. She was a resident of Framingham for 70 years.
She was predeceased in 2012 by her husband of 56 years, Edward F. Convery. She was sister to the late Lucille Goguen, Peter Goguen, Constance Gerkin, William Goguen, Nelson Goguen, and Edward D.W. Goguen, and is survived by her brother Ralph Goguen of Florida. She is also survived by her six children, Christine Tibor and her husband Robert of Framingham, Carolyn Rice and her husband Mike of Gainesville, Florida, Brian Convery and his wife Denise Zinn of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jennifer Convery of Gorham, New Hampshire, Kevin Convery and his wife Deborah of Framingham, and Jeff Convery and his fiancé Meaghan Sullivan of Holliston, and her ten grandchildren, Maggie Steakley and her husband David; Owen and Annabel Convery Zinn; Edward and Brian Cerow; Julia and Isabella Convery; and Dylan, Rowan, and Logan Convery.
Nan was a nature-lover, especially the birds at her feeders. She was employed by the Framingham Police Department for 27 years, until her retirement in 2017. She also spent many years as a medical secretary. She was exceptionally artistic and enjoyed painting. She shared her decorating talents for many years serving as the lead decorator at St. Stephen Church, where she was a longtime parishioner an attended daily mass. For many years she worked with the CCD Program there as well as teaching CCD classes.
She was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother and created loving and delicious traditions that delighted her husband, children, and grandchildren throughout the years. Her friends and family considered her to be a very special person. She was loving, giving, helpful, kind, thoughtful, and honest.
Family and friends will honor and remember Annette’s life by gathering for visiting hours at the McCarthy, McKinney and Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 4-8PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday morning at St. Stephen Church, 221 Concord St., Framingham at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Stephen Cemetery, Framingham.
