Claire L. (Burgess) Lind, age 88

Claire L. (Burgess) Lind, age 88, a longtime resident of Framingham, died peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at her home in Framingham.
She was the beloved wife of the late Gordon E. Lind, to whom she was married to for 42 years.
Born in Robbinston, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Ruth (Sharman) Burgess.
A 1952 graduate of Barre, MA high school and 1956 graduate of Framingham State College, Claire pursued a career in teaching as well as Real Estate sales. After raising her children, she returned to the classroom as a substitute teacher.
Claire is survived by her sons, Lt. Commander Erik K. Lind, USN and his wife, Lt. Commander Rachel Velasco-Lind USN of Lothian MD, and Major Christopher G. Lind, USA of Westford MA; two grandchildren, Daniel E., and Matthew C. Lind of MD.
Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 11 AM at Beacon of Hope United Methodist Church, 360 Water St. Framingham, MA 01701. Her burial will take place on Friday, October 11, 2o24 at 10:45 AM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
Visiting hours at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. (corner of Union Ave.) Framingham will be Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 4 – 7 pm.
