Active agers and families are invited for an informative and fun day at Keefe Tech

Senate President Karen E. Spilka, who represents Framingham in the Massachusetts Senate, has announced that her annual 55+ Health and Wellness Fair, a day of informational and programming

for MetroWest’s 55+ community and those who love them, will take place from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Keefe Regional Technical School, located at 750 Winter Street in Framingham.

The fair is free and open to all MetroWest residents, including those aged 55 and over and their family members.

All who wish to attend are encouraged to register karenspilka.com/attend2023 to guarantee a space for lunch and workshops.

“We know that when people have the opportunity to stay active and connect with their community, they also have the opportunity to thrive, regardless of age,” said Senate President Karen E. Spilka (D-Ashland). “I’m thrilled to bring the community together again for my 55+ Health and Wellness Fair, so that our residents can get active, connect with friends, find the resources they need, and have some fun.”

As in past years, Senate President Spilka’s 55+ Health and Wellness Fair will offer resources, workshops and activities focused on all aspects of wellness.

Attendees will have access to more than 60 exhibitors with information on a range of topics including mental health, healthy cooking, fraud and scam protection, demystifying Medicare, and other timely topics. Workshops and health offerings will include fun and interactive fitness and music activities, free health screenings, flu shots, and more. The program will include live music, free prize drawings, and free breakfast and lunch.

Senate President Spilka has held an annual health and wellness fair in the fall for over a decade.  Originally named the Senior Health & Wellness Fair, last year the event was renamed Senate President Spilka’s 55+ Health and Wellness Fair.
