FRAMINGHAM – City of Framingham Mayor Charlie Sisitsky honored Donna Kramer Merritt with a proclamation at the 11th Annual Framingham Earth Day Festival this afternoon, April 22.
Merritt, one of the founders of the festival, is stepping back from leading the festival.
With a handful of eager volunteers, she founded the Festival in 2011. She served as Director for its first 6 years through 2017.
Last year, she returned to be the director of the Festival, post-pandemic, in its 10th year.
This year, the 11th year of the festival, is her last year as director.

Merritt was visibly moved by the recognition.
Next year, Framingham resident Isabella Petroni, will take over as Director of the festival.
