BROOKLINE – The Framingham High boys outdoor track & field team opened the season on the road Wednesday, April 5. in Brookline.
The Brookline High Warriors won the season opener 89-42.
Framingham did better in the field events than on the track
The Flyers swept the shot put event.
Junior Matthew Vilela won the event with a person best throw of 39 feet and 6.5 inches.
Junior Calvin Hodge was second and sophomore Joshua Peace was third. Both had personal best throws.
Framingham also swept the discus event.
Sophomore Ethan Lu won the event with a personal best throw of 83-feet and 10-inches.
Freshman Angel Lopez took second place with a throw of 83-feet, 7-inches. It was a personal best throw.
Junior Gabriel Garcet was third with a person best throw of 78-feet, 10-inches.

Framingham junior Yeandiel Cora won the javelin with a throw of 111-feet and 11-inches, a personal best.
Framingham finished second and third in the long jump event
Warrior Mark Tringas took first place in 19-feet and 7-inches.
Framingham sophomore Amir Bahador leaped to second lace with a person best jump of 16-feet, 3-inches.
Framingham Freshman Zareh Mikaelian took third place. with a personal best jump of 16-feet, 1-inch.
Brookline finished one-two in the triple jump.

Framingham sophomore Christian Marshall finished second in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.9 seconds.
Brookline senior Terry Chiou won the event in 15.9 seconds.
Chiou also won the 400-meter hurdles in 61.8 seconds. Marshall took third place for Framingham with a personal best time of 64.3 seconds.
Framingham High sophomore Matheus Silva finished second in the 200-meter event, with a time of 24.1 Brookline’s Mark Tringas won the race in 23.7 seconds.
Brookline senior Nicholas Braun won the dash in 11.2 seconds. Brookline also captured second place.
Framingham High sophomore Joash Ssejjemba-Ssonko finished third in the 100-meter dash, with a personal best 11.6 second.

Brookline swept the 1 mile and 2 mile events.
Brookline won both the 400-meter and 800-meter events.
Next up for the Flyers is a meeting against the Raiders of Wellesley High on the road on April 12.
The first home meet for the Flyers is April 26 against rival Natick High at Bowditch Field.
