BOSTON \u2013 The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is reporting 773 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, May 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Governor began to re-open the state on Monday<\/a><\/strong>. New businesses<\/a><\/strong> and recreational activities like beaches<\/a><\/strong> will re-open on Monday, May 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Massachusetts now has a total of 91,662 positive coronavirus cases as of today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no cure and no vaccine for COVID-19, at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Massachusetts ranks fourth in the United States behind New York, New Jersey & Illinois for the most positive. New York has more than 355,000 cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The state is reporting 76 deaths. That is three consecutive days in a row below 90 deaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the pandemic began Massachusetts has reported 6,228 COVID-19 or complications from the virus deaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The state tested 9,342 individuals in the last 24 hours<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of today, the state has tested more 520,986 individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Middlesex County has the most positive cases at 20,232.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In comparison, Berkshire County has 515 cases, and Barnstable County on Cape Cod has 1,264 cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Framingham has the most cases in MetroWest. Marlborough is second<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The City of Framingham is also among the top 20 communities with coronavirus cases in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Almost 30% of Framingham\u2019s deaths from the virus have been reported in the last week.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Worldwide there are more than 5 million<\/a><\/strong> cases of COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John Hopkins University is reporting 5.27 million cases worldwide today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 1.61 million cases in the United States, as of 4 p.m. today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The United States leads the world in Coronavirus cases, followed by Russia with 335,000+ and Brazil at 330,000+ cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Centers for Disease Control is reporting 96,002 deaths as of noon, May 23, including 1,852 new deaths in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The U.S. is leading the world in COVID-19 deaths, with more than 28,900 deaths in New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In comparison, the United States has almost 3 times the number of deaths as Italy, recorded at 32,735 deaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
