FRAMINGHAM – The cars were lined up all along Park Street Tuesday morning for United Way of Tri-County’s annual Feed a Family program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Annually on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, families, who pre-register, receive groceries and a turkey to make their Thanksgiving dinner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joe Mina, with the United Way, said about 520 families pre-registered from the United Way’s list of 36,000. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mina said about 620 bags of groceries and turkeys would be distributed on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volunteers from several MetroWest businesses as well as City of Framingham Mayor Charlie Sisitsky bagged up groceries, put them in a shopping cart, and put them into cars and SUVs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayor Sisitsky’s first cart of groceries was delivered to a single woman with four kids, who was thankful for the turkey & groceries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
