BOSTON \u2014 Kim Driscoll today, September 14, announced the endorsement of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO in her bid for Lieutenant Governor as the Democratic nominee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

City of Salem Mayor Driscoll expressed gratitude in her remarks today at the organization\u2019s Biennial Constitutional Convention in Boston. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMassachusetts is at a point of great opportunity if we elect experienced and thoughtful leaders like Kim, who know that Massachusetts only thrives when all of our communities can benefit,\u201d said Steven A. Tolman, President of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO. \u201cShe has been a force for good not just in Salem, but as a statewide respected municipal leader with a long record of bringing people together to find common-sense solutions to tackle our biggest challenges. We endorse her candidacy for Lieutenant Governor enthusiastically and look forward crisscrossing Massachusetts to share her message.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to AFL-CIO members at the Westin Boston Seaport District today, Mayor Driscoll said: \u201cWe need you at the table \u2013 building apprenticeship programs, recruiting new members, and working with us to shape our workforce.
