FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham State women’s soccer team has been predicted to finish fifth in the\u00a02022\u00a0Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) preseason poll selected by the eight coaches from around the league\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Rams earned\u00a0the 4thseed\u00a0in MASCAC Tournament in 2021\u00a0posting a\u00a03-4\u00a0mark in league play\u00a0and an overall record of\u00a05-12-2. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Returning for the Rams is\u00a02021 leading scorer Calen Frongillo who scored a team best five goals and 12 points.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joining Frongillo back on the 2022 squad is sophomore Jetta\u00a0Oskirko\u00a0who made a team best 106 saves in net during her freshman campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\u00a02021\u00a0MASCAC\u00a0Regular Season and Tournament Champions Westfield State\u00a0landed in first with seven of eight possible first place votes for 49 points in this year’s poll.\u00a0In the second spot is\u00a0Bridgewater spot who collected 41 points and the other first place vote. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Worcester State slides in the third spot with 39 points followed by Salem State with 28. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
After the Rams in fifth place, Fitchburg State and their 20 points finished sixth. MCLA and Mass. Maritime\u00a0round\u00a0out the poll with 12 and 8 points, respectively.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Rams open up their 2022 season on Thursday, September 1,\u00a0when they host\u00a0Roger Williams for non-conference match slated for 4:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
