MARLBOROUGH \u2013 The City of Marlborough reported 13 new cases of the coronavirus in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is a 2.44% increase in COVID-19 cases since Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The City of Marlborough is now reporting a total of 546 coronavirus cases as of Monday, May 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The City has had 17 COVID-19 deaths in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts announced today exactly 1,000 new cases of the coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The State also announced 86 individuals have died from the virus, bringing the total of deaths from the coronavirus to 4,090, as of May 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no cure and no vaccine for COVID-19, at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last week, Governor Charlie Baker issued an order to require a face covering starting May 6. Click here to read the order.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2020, the state has had 69,087 confirmed positive cases of the coronavirus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Massachusetts now has more positive coronavirus cases than the entire country of Ireland, Sweeden & Mexico combined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Massachusetts ranks third in the Umited States behind New York,a nd New Jersey for the most positive cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last week, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker extended the order to keep non-essential businesses closed through May 18.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two weeks ago, the number of COVID-19 cases hospitalized was at 9%. A good sign is the number has been 5% over the weekend and again today, May 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another good sign, the number of individuals in ICUs in the state is under 1,000 for the first time in weeks for the last four days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Middlesex County has the most positive cases at 15,757.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In comparison Barnsatble County has 961 cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of today at 4 p.m., the state has tested 324,268 individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The state tested 9,622 individuals in the last 24 hours<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The United States now has the most confirmed cases worldwide 1.172 million cases as of 4 p.m. May 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Worldwide, there are more than 3.562 million confirmed cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Centers for Disease Control is reporting 67,456 deaths as of noon, May 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The U.S. is leading the world in COVID-19 deaths, with more than 19,000 deaths in New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
