Governor Karyn Polito released the below statements in response to the Judiciary Committee\u2019s actions to send the&nbsp;Baker-Polito Administration\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mass.gov\/news\/baker-polito-administration-files-legislation-to-protect-survivors-from-dangerous-individuals-distribution-of-explicit-images\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dangerousness bill<\/a>&nbsp;to study:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Judiciary Committee\u2019s incomprehensible decision to send our Administration\u2019s dangerousness bill to study is an insult to survivors. Lt. Governor Polito and I have spent the past several months meeting with brave survivors across the Commonwealth who spoke out with the hope of protecting others from facing the same horrors they lived through. The Administration\u2019s bill would have closed loopholes in the criminal justice system, while the Legislature\u2019s decision protects abusers at the expense of survivors,&#8221; said Governor Charlie&nbsp;Baker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong><br>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;52386&#8243;]<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur Administration has filed the dangerousness bill repeatedly so we can better protect survivors of domestic violence and other violent crimes, and it is deeply disappointing that the Judiciary Committee has sent this bill to study. The Committee\u2019s actions ignore the survivors who came forward to share their personal stories and demonstrate how this bill would have made a difference,&#8221; said Lt.
