{"id":6647,"date":"2020-04-18T06:01:00","date_gmt":"2020-04-18T10:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/?p=6647"},"modified":"2020-04-21T14:59:06","modified_gmt":"2020-04-21T18:59:06","slug":"mwrta-to-launch-bus-service-to-grocery-stores","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2020\/04\/18\/mwrta-to-launch-bus-service-to-grocery-stores\/","title":{"rendered":"MWRTA To Launch Bus Service To Grocery Stores"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;58610&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FRAMINGHAM &#8211; Starting Wednesday, April 22, the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA) will launch a temporary grocery route to help those without an automobile get access to supermarkets and grocery stores during this coronavirus crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The &#8220;4 Grocery Route&#8221; is designed specifically to take individuals to and from the grocery stores for essential shopping trips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;MWRTA is currently providing public transportation for essential trips only, and strongly encourages ALL riders to wear a face mask and gloves while on the bus,&#8217; said the Authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;53820&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bus will go to Market basket in Ashland, Roche Brothers in Natick and Wegmans at the Natick Mall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Scheduled times are only approximate; please wait for the MWRTA 10 minutes in advance of scheduled times to ensure not missing the bus,&#8217; said the Authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The schedule is below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59984&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The MWRTA uses the Flag Down System which allows buses to stop anywhere along their routes to pick up passengers, where it is safe to do so.<br>Passengers can hail the MWRTA buses by waving,&#8217; said the Authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a temporary route to assist in the ongoing COVID-19 situation, to help get transit-depended people to and from to grocery stores, said the MWRTA<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"842\" height=\"422\" src=\"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/MWRTA.grocery.route_.22.april_.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6648\" srcset=\"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/MWRTA.grocery.route_.22.april_.png 842w, https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/MWRTA.grocery.route_.22.april_-300x150.png 300w, https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/MWRTA.grocery.route_.22.april_-768x385.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 842px) 100vw, 842px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59983&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;58610&#8243;] FRAMINGHAM &#8211; Starting Wednesday, April 22, the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA) will launch a temporary grocery route to help those without an automobile get access to supermarkets and grocery stores during this coronavirus crisis.
