{"id":58604,"date":"2022-01-03T18:28:00","date_gmt":"2022-01-03T23:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/?p=58604"},"modified":"2022-01-04T11:23:25","modified_gmt":"2022-01-04T16:23:25","slug":"updated-framingham-school-bus-strikes-pedestrian-65-in-crosswalk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2022\/01\/03\/updated-framingham-school-bus-strikes-pedestrian-65-in-crosswalk\/","title":{"rendered":"UPDATED: Framingham School Bus Strikes Pedestrian, 65, in Crosswalk"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Last updated at 11:22 a.m. on January 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59945&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FRAMINGHAM &#8211; A Framingham school bus, operated by NRT, struck a pedestrian, 65, on Warren Road this afternoon, January 3, said Framingham Public Schools Director of safety Scott Penrod.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incident happened just after 5 p.m. at the intersection of Warren Road and Prindiville Avenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Framingham Fire Engine 5, Ambulance 2 &amp; Car 2 responded, said Framingham Fire Chief Michael Dutcher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crews treated and transported a 65 year old male with head injuries to the landing zone at Mass State Police Headquarters on Route 9, where he was flown by medical helicopter to Boston Medical Center in Boston, said Chief Dutcher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The bus hit a pedestrian crossing the road,&#8221; said Penrod.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The pedestrian was in a crosswalk,&#8217; said Framingham Police Lt. Rachel Mickens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;No citation has been issued at this time,&#8221; said Lt. Mickens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NRT bus stayed on site, and a second bus came to pick up students off that bus to get them home, said Penrod.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No students were injured, said Penrod.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bus was coming from Fuller Middle School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59947&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last updated at 11:22 a.m. on January 4.
