{"id":57404,"date":"2021-12-14T18:15:00","date_gmt":"2021-12-14T23:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/?p=57404"},"modified":"2021-12-15T11:02:48","modified_gmt":"2021-12-15T16:02:48","slug":"framingham-schools-changes-covid-communication-policy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2021\/12\/14\/framingham-schools-changes-covid-communication-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Framingham Schools Changes COVID Communication Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>In full transparency, the following is from the Framingham Public School<\/em>s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>***<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong><br>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;53230&#8243;]<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>FRAMINGHAM &#8211; &#8220;In response to an increase in positive COVID cases, we are piloting a communication strategy that will provide notification to all families of a classroom-level exposure to COVID-19,&#8221; announced the public school district tonight, December 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the start of the school year, there have been almost 400 cases of COVID reported in the district. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There have been more than 100 cases at Framingham High School, with more than 50% since the Thanksgiving break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Whether your child is vaccinated or unvaccinated, you will receive an email notification if there is a COVID-19 exposure in your child\u2019s classroom. If your child is unvaccinated and identified as a close contact, you will receive an additional email notification. This is because unvaccinated individuals are at a greater risk of getting and spreading\u00a0COVID-19\u00a0<strong><em>and<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0getting seriously ill. Please be sure your school has your most current email address on record,&#8221; wrote the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong><br>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;54526&#8243;]<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As positive COVID cases continue to increase, it is in the best interest of the community to assume that you and your children are in close contact with people who are positive for COVID at school, work, and play. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While it is impossible to eliminate\u00a0<em>all risk<\/em>\u00a0of contracting COVID-19, we are urging community members to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.framingham.k12.ma.us\/Page\/9075\">take several steps<\/a>\u00a0to protect yourselves and others.
