FRAMINGHAM \u2013\u00a0She\u2019s Local, the non-profit that believes local women are inspiring and promotes networking in your own neighborhood, will host its 5th annual\u00a0MetroWest Conference for Women<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0Thursday, September 30, 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This all-day event is designed to bring women together to build partnerships, pathways, and pipelines in which women elevate women by sharing their knowledge, experience, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s speaker line-up includes:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bevin Mugford<\/strong> – Self-described as a \u201cCheerleader of Entrepreneurship\u201d this engaging sales leader is a dynamic executive has built high-performance teams and developed innovative sales and learning solutions. Known for creativity, curiosity, and unwavering optimism, this high-energy business leader offers tips to motivate and inspire your staff and drive business growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jill Dixon<\/strong>\u00a0– Is a non-profit co-founder who is known to be is a \u201cFirestarter and change agent\u201d who uses innovation to tackle the toughest challenges even when that means disrupt disrupting the system to move an agenda forward.\u00a0Her vision, which stems from a love of learning, is bold: All children will have access to preschool education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of these powerful and dynamic women will provide a keynote address to the anticipated\u00a0300-plus attendees. The conference will highlight topics chosen by local MetroWest women based on current trends and interests post Pandemic.\u00a0Kim Miles, creative collaborator and event strategist, will emcee the daylong event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the launch,\u00a0She\u2019s Local<\/em>\u00a0is announcing this year\u2019s recipient of the\u00a0She\u2019s Local MetroWest Goddess Award, given in recognition of a local woman who embodies the three tenets of the award that are reflective of women\u2019s contribution to a strong local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0Deborah Sweet, Foster Parent Ambassador of Massachusetts Department of Children and Families is this year\u2019s recipient. As a foster parent of 14 years, Sweet is a firm believer that children need to be seen, heard, and cared for. She is a tireless advocate for medically, emotionally, and physically challenged foster kids, embodying the three tenets of the She\u2019s Local Goddess Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She\u2019s Local\u00a0is committed to highlighting local women, so again this year, the conference draws upon the robust pool of local experts to offer 7 panels, with 21 panelists and over 24 exhibitors throughout the day.\u00a0\u00a0Attendees will have a chance to choose four break-out sessions that range in topics from finance to self-worth, entrepreneurship to health.\u00a0\u00a0Throughout the day, guests will have opportunities between sessions, at lunch, and during an afternoon reception to shop local exhibitors showcasing products and services geared towards women.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0MetroWest Conference for Women<\/a>\u00a0remains affordable for as many women as possible with a\u00a0ticket price of $52, which includes breakfast, lunch, swag bag and afternoon celebration with a female DJ and complementary wine and hors d\u2019oeuvres following the full-day conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Described as a \u201czesty badass with a flair for the dramatic,\u201d Bevin will walk your through her own powerful personal journey to success and is sure to provide nuggets of insight we will all benefit\/learn from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jill Dixon\u00a0is a co-founder of Taly, a non-profit created to tackle the toughest challenges plaguing the early education field and infuse the system with innovation. Her own two children were the inspiration behind the cause, pushing her to look for solutions for accessible and affordable education for all kids. Prior to Taly, Jill spent 25 years as a successful multi-million-dollar tech sales professional. She gets her energy from others, and will be sure to serve up some laughs, humility, and inspiration that will stick with you throughout the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kim Miles\u00a0is a highly sought-after emcee, panel moderator, creative collaborator and event strategist who brings outside-the-box thinking and a lot of laughs to all that she does. As a previous emcee of this conference, she is looking forward to keeping the group energized and laughing after such a trying year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
