FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham announced 13 more individuals have tested positive for COVID-19, in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This brings the total number of cases since the pandemic began to over 100 cases in the city – 106 to be exact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five individuals have died from the virus<\/a><\/strong>, announced the City, yesterday, April 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No other information was released by the City. The City has not released the age of the individuals who have died, if they were hospitalized, or if they had a pre-existing conditions. The state does release this information, but by county not by municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The City said 19 individuals have recovered from the coronavirus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Framingham has 82 active cases as of today, April 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is the most in MetroWest, but Framingham also has the largest population in MetroWest at 70,000. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is unknown how many Framingham residents have been tested. The City has not released that information. The City is not releasing how many resident are in quarantine now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Following the guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, the Framingham Department of Health has not shared any
additional information about those who have tested positive because of privacy laws. The Department is in contact with the people who were potentially exposed to the positive cases and the owners of the businesses or places of employment where the potential exposures occurred to inform and counsel them on next steps,” said the City in a press release.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
