{"id":48895,"date":"2021-09-07T15:37:00","date_gmt":"2021-09-07T19:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/?p=48895"},"modified":"2021-09-07T16:07:49","modified_gmt":"2021-09-07T20:07:49","slug":"margaret-norton-89-registered-nurse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2021\/09\/07\/margaret-norton-89-registered-nurse\/","title":{"rendered":"Margaret Norton, 89, Registered Nurse"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;63788&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;66384&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ASHLAND &#8211; Margaret Norton, 89, of Ashland passed away Sunday Sept. 5, 2021,\u00a0surrounded by her family.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late James and Blanche (Hayes) Harold.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peggy was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Norton who died in Jan. 2021.\u00a0 They were happily married for 67 years.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peggy worked as a registered nurse for many years before retiring to raise her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0She is survived by five children; Joe (Angela) Norton, \u00a0Jim (Jane) Norton, \u00a0Mary (Nick) Rediess, Jeff (Karen) Norton, and Mike Norton, 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday Sept. 9<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0at 9 a.m. in St. Cecilia\u2019s Parish, 54 Esty Street in Ashland, with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.\u00a0 Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main  Street Ashland<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> In lieu of flowers the Norton family kindly asks that you make donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O.
