{"id":48348,"date":"2021-09-01T06:05:00","date_gmt":"2021-09-01T10:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/?p=48348"},"modified":"2021-09-01T06:58:49","modified_gmt":"2021-09-01T10:58:49","slug":"flash-flood-watch-wednesday-thursday-2-to-5-inches-of-rain-forecasted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2021\/09\/01\/flash-flood-watch-wednesday-thursday-2-to-5-inches-of-rain-forecasted\/","title":{"rendered":"Flash Flood Watch Wednesday- Thursday; 2 to 5 inches of Rain Forecasted"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59946&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BOSTON &#8211; The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for MetroWest, including the City of Framingham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is all due to the remnants of Hurricane Ida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The watch will begin this afternoon, September 1 and last until Thursday afternoon, September 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Widespread 2 to 5 inches of rain expected with isolated amounts up to 6 or 7 inches not out of the question, said the weather service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will bring the potential for rare high impact type of flooding to southern New England. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59983&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The potential for very significant urban and small stream flash flooding exists as well as the possibility of significant River Flooding. Some roads may become flooded and impossible with   perhaps even few road washouts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the axis of heaviest rainfall remains uncertain, areas near and south of the Massachusetts turnpike appear to be at greatest risk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rain will also come with heavy winds, so power outages are possible too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;53130&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59946&#8243;] BOSTON &#8211; The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for MetroWest, including the City of Framingham.
