ASHLAND – Kathleen M. “Kathy” Marcos, 70 of Ashland, passed away Thursday July 1, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daughter of Evelyn (Riley) Marcos of Somerville, and the late Frederick Marcos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beloved wife of Barry J. Smith of Ashland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sister-in-law of Norman “Roy” Smith of Australia. Kathy is survived by several cousins and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kathy received an undergraduate degree from Boston University, graduating in 1972. Kathy later received a Masters degree in Computer Science from Bentley College. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kathy worked as a Programmer Analyst for a number of Financial Institutions, notably Fidelity Investments; John Hancock and others. She Later started her own company called Unison Consultants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kathy was very drawn to music, taking lessons in vocals and piano, both in Boston and later, New York City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visiting in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, in Natick on Tuesday July 6,2021 from 11 a.m. to noon, with a funeral service at noon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
