Automated BVLOS operations are particularly important to bringing the commercial sectors into the drone economy, including the oil and gas, renewable energy, infrastructure, and agriculture verticals. Key to these operations is the use, and FAA acceptance, of new and innovative safety technologies, such as long-range detect and avoid (DAA) sensors and software-enabled automation.
