{"id":37804,"date":"2021-05-18T13:15:00","date_gmt":"2021-05-18T17:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/?p=37804"},"modified":"2021-05-18T13:10:03","modified_gmt":"2021-05-18T17:10:03","slug":"massdot-opens-next-round-of-industrial-rail-access-program-grant-applications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2021\/05\/18\/massdot-opens-next-round-of-industrial-rail-access-program-grant-applications\/","title":{"rendered":"MassDOT Opens Next Round of Industrial Rail Access Program Grant Applications"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;53130&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BOSTON\u00a0\u2013\u00a0The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that it will begin to accept applications on Thursday, May 20, for the FY2022 Industrial Rail Access Program (IRAP). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0The program supports projects that\u00a0increase access to freight rail service and preserve or stimulate economic development through the generation of new or expanded rail service which will reduce truck traffic on our roadways, thereby reducing congestion and greenhouse gas emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Industrial Rail Access Program (IRAP) is a competitive state-funded public\/private partnership program that provides financial assistance to eligible applicants to invest in industry-based rail infrastructure access improvement projects.
