We had a productive day in the school district today, working virtually to plan for the needs of our district over the next few weeks. I have provided a brief summary below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Teaching &amp; Learning<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are working with our teams of teachers and administrators to find ways for all of our students, PreK-12, to stay engaged with their learning during this time out of school. Our schools will be reaching out to families over the course of the week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;53820&#8243;]<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are interested in knowing about your family\u2019s access to the internet and the availability of devices, like a computer or chromebook, and will be collecting this information when we reach out to you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have compiled some great instructional resources for families and it is important that we identify how to best share that information with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Food Security<\/strong><br>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2020\/03\/14\/food-resources-for-framinghams-vulnerable-population\/\">City of Framingham and the Framingham Public Schools in partnership with the Department of Public Health has joined together with a number of community partners to ensure food access<\/a><\/strong> during this challenging time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The collective is made up of food providers and representatives of organizations that serve critical populations in Framingham who have been impacted by the closures due to COVID-19.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59983&#8243;]<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional communication will be coming out this week with updates for families on where to access food resources. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Foundation for MetroWest has set up a donation page where individuals can donate money to organizations working to meet emergency food needs in Framingham. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please check out <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/foundationmw.org\/give\/donate-now\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/foundationmw.org\/give\/donate-now\/<\/a> to donate.
