{"id":33398,"date":"2021-04-05T17:05:00","date_gmt":"2021-04-05T21:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/?p=33398"},"modified":"2021-04-13T08:48:00","modified_gmt":"2021-04-13T12:48:00","slug":"18-22-of-framingham-residents-are-full-vaccinated-against-covid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2021\/04\/05\/18-22-of-framingham-residents-are-full-vaccinated-against-covid\/","title":{"rendered":"18.22% of Framingham Residents Are Full Vaccinated Against COVID"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59982&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FRAMINGHAM &#8211; The City of Framingham announced today, April 5, that 13,666 individuals have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That is up from 11,839 individuals last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With about 75,000 individuals in the City of Framingham, that means about 18.22 percent of the City is vaccinated against COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59948&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The City of Framingham also announced 35,040 individuals in the City of Framingham have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. That is roughly 46.7% of the City&#8217;s residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last week, the number of individuals with at least one dose was 30,415<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The FDA has approved for emergency use a Moderna and a Pfizer vaccine that requires two doses. At the end of February, the FDA approved for emergency use a single dose vaccine from Johnson &amp; Johnson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Individuals are <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2021\/03\/01\/cdc-how-do-you-know-you-are-fully-vaccinated\/\">fully vaccinated after 14 days from either the two-dose or the one-dose vaccine, according to the Centers for Disease Control.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59946&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Framingham is one of 20 communities where the Commonwealth is providing assistance to help with vaccine equity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2021\/03\/12\/updated-framinghams-covid-vaccine-equity-group-yet-to-announce-plans\/\">City has a vaccine equity working group.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The City of Framingham has been holding private clinics with partner organizations, like the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2020\/08\/10\/photos-mayor-spicer-attends-discovering-hidden-gems-mini-conference-at-pelham-center\/\">Pelham Lifelong Learning Center <\/a><\/strong>and the Brazilian American Center, as part of the vaccine equity rollout. The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2021\/04\/05\/city-of-framingham-has-administered-457-moderna-and-53-johnson-johnson-vaccines\/\">City has administered 457 vaccines through this program.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2021\/04\/04\/city-of-framingham-begins-homebound-vaccine-program\/\">City of Framingham started a homebound vaccine delivery program with the one-dose Johnson &amp; Johnson vaccine over the weekend and administered 53 vaccines.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2021\/03\/29\/free-vaccine-clinics-for-framingham-residents-at-greater-framingham-community-church\/\">equity plan, the Greater Framingham Community Church will hold two vaccine clinics in April.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;61074&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1002\" height=\"499\" src=\"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/covid.vaccine.framingham.race_.4.5.21.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-33399\" srcset=\"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/covid.vaccine.framingham.race_.4.5.21.png 1002w, https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/covid.vaccine.framingham.race_.4.5.21-300x149.png 300w, https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/covid.vaccine.framingham.race_.4.5.21-768x382.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1002px) 100vw, 1002px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59982&#8243;] FRAMINGHAM &#8211; The City of Framingham announced today, April 5, that 13,666 individuals have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
