{"id":32264,"date":"2021-03-16T05:55:00","date_gmt":"2021-03-16T09:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/?p=32264"},"modified":"2021-03-22T11:58:35","modified_gmt":"2021-03-22T15:58:35","slug":"bacon-street-bridge-replacement-to-begin-march-26-shuttles-will-replace-framingham-worcester-trains","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2021\/03\/16\/bacon-street-bridge-replacement-to-begin-march-26-shuttles-will-replace-framingham-worcester-trains\/","title":{"rendered":"Bacon Street Bridge Replacement To Begin March 26; Shuttles Will Replace Framingham\/Worcester Trains"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59947&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WELLESLEY &#8211; The MBTA is replacing the bridge that carries the\u00a0Framingham\/Worcester Line\u00a0over Bacon Street in Wellesley. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On March 26, crews will begin installing new foundations for the bridge at the track level. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crews will work around the clock through the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project will bring the bridge to a\u00a0<em>State of Good Repair<\/em>, improving safety, resiliency, and reliability of the Worcester Line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Work will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 26, and continue through 5 a.m. on Monday, March 29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59945&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shuttles will replace train service on the Framingham\/Worcester Line all day on Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To allow for this work, Bacon Street at Route 135\/Central will be detoured through the weekend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MBTA will install signage indicating the detour route before any major construction begins.
