{"id":31227,"date":"2021-03-10T12:01:00","date_gmt":"2021-03-10T17:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/?p=31227"},"modified":"2021-03-10T12:37:00","modified_gmt":"2021-03-10T17:37:00","slug":"biden-harris-administration-to-deliver-155000-first-covid-doses-to-massachusetts-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2021\/03\/10\/biden-harris-administration-to-deliver-155000-first-covid-doses-to-massachusetts-this-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Biden-Harris Administration To Deliver 155,000 First COVID Doses To Massachusetts This Week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59984&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BOSTON &#8211; The Baker-Polito administration announced this week, the Commonwealth will receive a constrained supply of about 155,000 first doses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is an increase as the federal government had only been supplying about 135,000 a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This week, first doses and second dose allocations (total doses), were divided among providers as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Mass vaccination sites: 83,000<\/li><li>Hospital Providers (both private and public): 79,000<\/li><li>Regional Collaboratives (12 total): 38,000<\/li><li>Community Health Centers: 25,000<\/li><li>Local Boards of Health (to complete 2nd dose appointments and support 20 disproportionately impacted communities, including Framingham): 25,000<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59982&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Weekly allocations are subject to change based on federal availability, demand from providers, and obligations to meet second doses. Providers have 10 days to use their doses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the state allocation, the federal government distributes vaccines to CVS Health sites as part of the Federal Retail Pharmacy Partnership as well as to certain Massachusetts federally qualified community health centers.
