FRAMINGHAM \u2013 The City of Framingham announced 46 new COVID-19 cases since Friday, February 19<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the pandemic, there have been 224 deaths, as the City of Framingham announced three new deaths today, February 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Framingham has had a total of 6,693 coronavirus cases since the pandemic began. Framingham has about 75,000 residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That means more than 9% of the City has been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the pandemic began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"This<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The good news is 5,258 individuals have recovered<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Active cases in the City of Framingham is at 1,211<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Individuals in quarantine decreased from 490 to 462<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts operates a free COVID testing site opened at Framingham State University\u2019s parking lot on Franklin Street. It is drive-thru and by appointment only, through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Project Beacon.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The drive-thru testing site, operated by Project Beacon added a third lane on February 5. Senate President Karen Spilka advocated for the third lane, which will allow an additional 150 individuals per hour to be tested.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Framingham residents-only free COVID testing site opened at SMOC HQ at 7 Bishop Street ended in 2020, and today the City announced a new walk-up testing site will open on Route 135.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SOURCE posted earlier this year that the City of Framingham’s polling places was a potential new walk-up COVID-19 testing site<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
