{"id":29008,"date":"2021-02-09T21:01:00","date_gmt":"2021-02-10T02:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/?p=29008"},"modified":"2021-02-11T00:27:01","modified_gmt":"2021-02-11T05:27:01","slug":"register-for-framinghams-people-of-color-1600-to-1800-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2021\/02\/09\/register-for-framinghams-people-of-color-1600-to-1800-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Register for Framingham&#8217;s People of Color 1600 to 1800 History Center Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;53130&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;52093&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FRAMINGHAM &#8211; Framingham History Center, with the help of its new Scholar-in-Residence, plans to highlight Framingham&#8217;s People of Color from 1600 to 1800 in a presentation this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to a recent Scholar-in-Residence project grant from the Sudbury Foundation, Mary McNeil is creating an internal finding aid of the Center&#8217;s archives highlighting the stories of Nipmuc, African, and African Americans from 1600-1800. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0Join Center Curator Stacen Goldman and McNeil as they discuss McNeil&#8217;s progress so far, the discoveries she has made, and what leads she is chasing down to complete her work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59946&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Framingham\u2019s People of Color from 1600 to 1800<\/em> will be a ZOOM presentation on Thursday, February 25 at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Framingham History Center Scholar-in-Residence McNeil is aPhD Candidate in the American Studies program at Harvard University<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tickets for the program at $5 for members and $10 for not yet members.
