FRAMINGHAM \u2013 The City of Framingham announced 57 new COVID-19 cases since Friday, January 29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the pandemic, there have been 205 deaths, as the City of Framingham announced two news deaths today, February 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Framingham has had a total of 6,262 coronavirus cases since the pandemic began. Framingham has about 75,000 residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That means just about 8 percent of the City has been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the pandemic began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The good news is 4,898 individuals have recovered<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Active cases in the City of Framingham us at 1,159.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Individuals in quarantine is at 528.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts operates a free COVID testing site opened at Framingham State University\u2019s parking lot on Franklin Street. It is drive-thru and by appointment only, through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Project Beacon.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Framingham residents-only free COVID testing site opened at SMOC HQ at 7 Bishop Street ended in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No new walk-up testing site has been announced for 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SOURCE has learned the City and state are looking at one of the City of Framingham’s polling places as a potential new walk-up COVID-19 testing site<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
