As of this week, that number is 80 cases per day per 100,000, according to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2020\/12\/18\/framingham-covid-numbers-147-new-cases-1038-active-cases-almost-4500-total-cases\/\">More than 25% of the City&#8217;s almost 4,500 COVID-19 cases have been diagnosed since Thanksgiving &#8211; or more than 1,200 cases.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59948&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Back in August, the City of Framingham was one of six communities out of 351 that the state is providing additional assistance. Framingham wasfeatured in the television ads promoting COVID safety by the Commonwealth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But as of yesterday, more than half the state is listed as red or a high-risk community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-e8e1b48b-b55c-4a5f-9e1c-dd246de79d93\">Since the beginning of September, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts provided outreach teams who speak multi-languages to distribute multi-language flyers and free masks to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in Framingham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59947&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Anticipated Schedule for Saturday, December 19:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10:30 a.m.-2 p.m.: Business walk in Beaver Park and Downtown to hand out flyers and distribute window signs and literature to businesses<br>o 12-4 p.m.: Care Kit drops to Cochituate Cooperative Homes, Labor Ready and Salvation Army.
