Wayland Woman Dead After Apparent Murder-Suicide"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The following is a press release from the Middlesex DA&#8217;s office submitted to the digital news media outlet.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>***<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59947&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WAYLAND \u2013 Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Wayland Chief of Police Patrick Swanick have confirmed the identities of the individuals who died last night in an <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2020\/11\/16\/police-investigating-murder-suicide\/\">apparent murder suicide<\/a><\/strong> as Cheryl Kane, 68 of Wayland and Richard Kane Jr., 41 of Natick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At approximately 8:05 p.m. Wayland police received a 911 call from a resident of the home reporting the deaths. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon arrival at the Adelaide Avenue home, Wayland police located Mrs. Kane dead from an apparent gunshot wound. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police also located Mr. Kane dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.&nbsp; It appears Mrs. Kane was shot by her son in the garage of their home as she exited her car after&nbsp;returning from work.&nbsp; Richard Kane, Jr. was also located in the garage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59948&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the preliminary investigation, neighbors reported hearing loud bangs around 4:45 p.m. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incident was reported when the surviving resident called to report it to police upon his arrival home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The family has asked that we convey their request for privacy at this time. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cause and manner of death will be determined by the&nbsp;Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.&nbsp;
