{"id":21076,"date":"2020-10-26T14:12:39","date_gmt":"2020-10-26T18:12:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/?p=21076"},"modified":"2020-10-26T14:11:27","modified_gmt":"2020-10-26T18:11:27","slug":"framinghams-economic-development-and-industrial-corporation-supports-community-preservation-act","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2020\/10\/26\/framinghams-economic-development-and-industrial-corporation-supports-community-preservation-act\/","title":{"rendered":"Framingham\u2019s Economic Development and Industrial Corporation Supports Community Preservation Act"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The following is a press release submitted toi SOURCE media about ballot question #3 in Framingham.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>***<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;59945&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FRAMINGHAM &#8211; The City of Framingham\u2019s\u00a0Economic Development and Industrial Corporation (EDIC)\u00a0recently voted to support the passage of the Community Preservation Act (CPA) in the City of Framingham.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Framingham residents will vote on November 3 by referendum to approve implementation of the CPA in Framingham, potentially joining 177 other communities in the Commonwealth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere is no doubt that the quality of life here in Framingham is what attracts businesses from start ups to multinational corporations to locate here,\u201d said Doug Lawrence, the Chair of the EDIC Board.\u00a0 \u201cImplementing the CPA will show the City\u2019s commitment to investing in those things that are important to our quality of life \u2013 preserving our history, ensuring quality affordable housing, and promoting open space. We have little doubt that the region\u2019s business community will recognize how significant it is that residents committed to such investment and respond favorably.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;70106&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Commonwealth of Massachusetts passed the Community Preservation Act in 2000.
