FRAMINGHAM – Massachusetts\u2019s\u00a0average gas price is down one cent from last week\u00a0($2.12)<\/em>, averaging\u00a0$2.11\u00a0per gallon.\u00a0, according to AAA Northeast, which has an office in Framingham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today\u2019s price is the 4 cents lower than a month ago\u00a0($2.15)<\/em>, and 49 cents cheaper than September 28, 2019 ($2.60)<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Massachusetts\u2019s average gas price is 7 cents lower than the national average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLow demand, even as gasoline stocks decline, has helped pump prices decline or hold steady on the week,\u201d said Mark Schieldrop, AAA Northeast Public Affairs Specialist., in a press release. \u201cThat is likely to continue into the fall as the season sees fewer road trips, especially amid the pandemic.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AAA Northeast\u2019s September 28 survey of fuel prices found the current national average to be the same as last week, averaging\u00a0$2.18\u00a0a gallon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

national average price is 1 cent higher than a month ago\u00a0($2.17)<\/em>, and 47 cents cheaper than this day last year\u00a0($2.65)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
