FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High School Class of 2020 held its graduation ceremony at Bowditch Field tonight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a private ceremony, with no guests, including no parents, upon the recommendation of the City’s Health Director Sam Wong to the public school administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayor Yvonne Spicer spoke, as did the school’s Principal Carolyn Banach, and the class Vice Principal Greg Lagan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scott Wadland, who had twin daughters in the Class of 2020, gave the School Committee address this year. Traditionally, the chair of the School Committee speaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were three class speakers including class president Jake Benoit. The other two speakers were National Honor Society officers Marianna Abdalla and Fiana Hersovici.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Class of 2020’s Suzanne Julakis sang the national anthem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony was about 2 hours, in 90 degree weather, under a heat advisory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
